This auction is for a vintage Gretsch "Drop G" badge era 3 piece Jasper shell drum set in excellent condition. This drum kit has been completely refurbished inside and out, including new silver sparkle wrap and new silver sealer interior. All extra holes from previous hardware have been filled with wood and flushed. Modern Gretsch folding spurs installed. All hardware was removed, cleaned, and polished to a high shine but retains some common wear, including small pits and scratches, etc.

Drum sizes include:

12x8 Tom With RIMS type suspension system and tom bracket.

15x12 Tom With your choice of either RIMS type suspension mount w tom bracket or floor tom brackets and legs.

22x14 "virgin" bass drum w new Gretsch spurs.  Badge and paper tag inside were removed by former owner.

No stands, pedals, internal mufflers or bass drum tom mount are included

Additional Information and Options:

Joe Partridge
and George Lawrence have been resurrecting used drums together since
1986. Joe is a well respected drum repairman, builder of custom
furniture, and sculptor of wood art. He writes the repair and
refurbishing column for Not So Modern Drummer magazine. George is the
drummer for Poco, owner of George’s Drum Shop in Akron Ohio and
publisher of Not So Modern Drummer magazine. They both own Famous Drum
Company and build high end instruments for pro drummers. They take
Gretsch Jasper shell drum sets and orphan singles that are worn and in
need of repair and turn them into pretty working drums. Lots of these
old Gretsch drums had lots of extra holes because owners and drum shops
would take off the crummy Gretsch mounts and add whatever hardware was
best that year. To bring them up to Gretsch factory specs, we plug the
holes, recut the bearing edges to the original shape if needed, paint the
insides with silver sealer paint, recover with new wrap, replace missing lugs and hoops with
good used or new parts, and add modern spurs to the bass drums. The
goal is not to recreate collector quality drum sets or to meet the
original specs of mounting hardware. The goal is to provide drummers
with nice new looking Gretsch kits to play at a price far less than a
new Gretsch kit. The goal is  authenticity only in the Jasper
shell/Gretsch lugs/Gretsch hoops. The hardware options are up to you.
The price stated is for the basic drums with RIMS holder with tom bracket, spurs and
floor tom legs. Each set's description will note whether all the drums
came from one original set or was assembled from orphans of the same
badge era.

Hardware options available (after you buy this set):

• We are a Gretsch dealer and all current parts are available to us.
• Gretsch and Maxwell clip mount and techware (1/2”) tom mount brackets
• Diamond floor tom brackets and cymbal arm brackets
• All models of Gretsch spurs though we recommend none but the current fold down ratchet style.
• Steve
  Maxwell and Gretsch rail mounts for bass drum. Gretsch and other brands
  of modern mounts for bass drum. We recommend the DW or Universal
  Percussion slide track mount since it does not invade the drum.
• T handle bass drum tension rods or square head..
• Pratt bass drum mufflers, tom mufflers
• Other makes and models of drum heads

Bidding:

We do not accept
bids from buyers with a feedback rating below 5 who do not contact us before
placing their bid. All such bids will be canceled immediately.

We reserve the
right to end auctions early. We make every effort to let auctions run their
course, but these items are also for sale/on display in our store  and we occasionally sell auction items to walk
in customers. We do not end auctions early if they have bids, so if you want
it, please bid.

Payment:

ALL auctions must
be paid for within 4 business days of close of the auction or the sale will be
canceled and we will file a non payment claim with Ebay.

We accept PayPal
and all major credit cards.

Shipping:

We make every
effort to ship all items within 3 business days. In rare cases, this will
extend to 4 to 5 days during peak seasons. Tracking information will be posted
on Ebay or emailed as soon as possible.

We will ship all
domestic items via either UPS Ground or USPS insured. In the event of damage we
will provide buyers with any and all necessary information to begin their
damage claim with the shipper. We will ship FedEx at customer request. Local
pickup is welcomed.

International
shipments smaller than a 16x16 floor tom will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail
International, anything larger will be shipped via CEVA logistics Corp freight.
Freight charges will be invoiced after the auction when we receive the price
from the shipper.

International bidders
are responsible for paying any and all taxes and customs duties levied by their
governments. We will accept no responsibility for these charges whatsoever. It
is the buyer’s responsibility to investigate these charges prior to
bidding/close of auction. We will not falsify customs documents or claim a
lower value for items.

All shipping
charges will be calculated as accurately as possible. Please understand that
shipping rates are constantly on the rise and we must regrettably pass these
costs along to our customers.

Feedback: 

After you have
received your item and are completely satisfied with your purchase, please
leave us positive feedback. This will let us know there were no problems, and
our transaction is complete. We will then leave positive feedback for you. Your
satisfaction is very important to us, so if you are not completely satisfied
with the item you have received, please let us know as soon as possible, in
accordance with eBay policy, so we have a chance to find the best possible
resolution for the issue. You have our word that we will do everything possible
to make it right. Thank you!!

Returns, Shipping Damage,
Lost in Shipment: 

If an item is
damaged during shipment, your item is insured and we will file the claim with
the shipping company and have your money refunded. This takes a little while.
Our responsibility is to ship it.

You must keep all
packaging for the item or the shipper will not pay the insurance. They will
pick up the item for inspection, process the claim, pay us and then we forward
the money to you. By bidding on this item you agree to these terms.

If an item has not
arrived and you think it is lost in shipment, please call us immediately and we
will track it down. Do not file a claim with Ebay, PayPal or your credit card
company.

If there is a discrepancy with the condition
the item was in before it was shipped or the description of the item not
matching the description described in the auction, please email or call us.

 Please read the item and shipping descriptions
carefully before bidding. If you are unsure about the way an item may look or
sound, please contact us, stop by our retail store, or check out a similar item
at a local music store.  

PayPal Claims and Disputes:

Do not file a claim
with Paypal, Ebay, or your credit card company until you have tried to resolve
it with us first. This is PayPal’s policy. Paypal is a bank. If you have ever
filed a PayPal claim or dispute about damaged shipments or lost shipments then
you know that it takes a long time for their investigation to resolve the
issue. Meanwhile your money and our money is tied up in the PayPal bank where
it is gaining interest for PayPal. You do not get an immediate refund from
PayPal unless we tell them to. We issue immediate paypal refunds only when
proof of non delivery has been determined or after insurance has been paid by
the shipper. Please resolve these issues with us. We have a good reputation for
dealing honestly. Our Ebay and PayPal record is perfect.

Condition of Items:

We will describe
items with as much detail as possible. In the case of used items we do not
normally clean or refurbish them.  We
sell them “as is”. Expect dirt, dust, wear and tarnish on used items.
