VINTAGE GRETSCH RARITY
50'S GRETSCH MICRO-SENSITIVE STRAINER FOR A DEEP CONCERT SNARE WITH ORIGINAL GUT/ROPE? SNARES ATTACHED.
THE STRAINER IS COMPLETE AS FAR AS I CAN TELL AND LOOKS GOOD. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THE THREAD ON THE ROUND BRASS INSERT ON THE INSIDE OF THE SHELL IS STRIPPED AND A 10-32 NUT IS USED INSTEAD TO ADJUST THE STRAINER. THIS CAN BE FIXED WITH A HELI-COIL INSERT IF YOU KNOW HOW TO DO IT OR KNOW SOMEONE IN MACHINING WHO CAN DO IT FOR YOU. THE SNARE WIRES WERE FROM A 15" DRUM BUT CAN BE TRIMMED FOR A 14" .
Includes factory mounting screwS as well. Sold as is.
