Vintage Gretsch Guitar

You are viewing a VIntage Gretsch Archtop model 30 acoustic guitar. I think this is a 30's era guitar. It has a s/n impressed in the top edge of the headstock (5946). The playability is good and tone is classic Archtop sound. Good treble and strong midrange respsone that cuts through well. The auction includes the guitar and an old chipboard hardshell case. The case looks like it could be original but I'm not sure. Features of the Model 30 include: 16" body at lower boute, trapeze tailpeice, bakelite single ply pickguard, bound top, unbound neck and dot inlays. The guitar seems to be in very good condition for an instrument of this age. The body has no cracks or breaks. The binding looks like it might have been replaced. It is in excellent condition and there appears to be a little glue reside around the side rdges of the body. The neck has a slight hump where the neck meets the body. It frets out at the 14th fret on the high E string. Overall the condition is very good for an instrument of this age.  Please email with questions.
