This is that fabulous and rather rare guitar that was a collaborative effort between Chet Atkins and Les Paul and made by Gretsch in the late 1970’s. Believed to be the first ever guitar with “active electronics” on-board for special and additional effects right at your fingertips. This one is the hard-to-find “Nashville Orange” finish so preferred by Chet. Chet and Les were seen together with this guitar in a recent television documentary. Beautiful finish, professionally set up with low-low action and a special BadAss bridge, and comes with the original dark-green lined hardshell case and the original bridge (in case you would prefer it). ?

I have to say that considering all the odd-ball guitars that I have owned and played over the years, this one has the most broad range of tones: from crisp, sharp trebles to very full and mellow lows. The humbucking pickups are perfectly matched to their neck and bridge positions. These pickups then run thru the active electronics (internal 9-volt battery powered) and are preamp fed into an adjustable Phaser and Compressor circuit which can be switched in or out. As a result, this guitar has such a broad spectrum of available tones that it can easily replace several different guitars that you normally have to have on hand. The aesthetics are incredible: from the brilliant “Nashville Orange” which shows the maple wood grain perfectly, the plush cream color body-neck-head binding, the beautiful pearl block inlays on the neck, the stylish “Gretsch” embossed pick guard, and the BadAss bridge. They don’t come any nicer than this one. There are no checks in the finish and no lacquer chipping that is usually found on the necks and fretboard binding. It carries a tag underneath the battery box cover that states that it is a Model 7680 and that the serial number is 2-9371 which means that it was built in February of 1979 and was guitar number 371.

This 1979 Gretsch is truly a special rarity and will only become more so as guitarists and collectors come to realize it’s special capabilities and storied history. You won’t be disappointed and you won’t be able to put it down! Get a really nice one now before the market catches on and the supply (which is really very small) dries up.

Will ship to the contiguous 48 states for a flat fee of $50 including insurance. Alaska and Hawaii, please e-mail for rates. International shipping is based on rates to send to that country with all fees, taxes, and duties assessed to buyer being the responsibility of the buyer.

Happy bidding!

Hello,
This is a 1964 Gretsch Super Bass Amplifier... These amps were produced By the renown company Valco.. Who also produced Supro, National, Airline, Harmony.. Etc..... The list goes on....
The amplifier is all original, with the original Jensen Special design gold Label 12 inch speakers.... 2204xx codes... make them 1964.... These amps were made for extra power and I believe this amp is about 70 watts... There are three instrument inputs... all working... There is a tone selecter, Low Bass, High Bass, Guitar... So this amp is amazing for guitar..... There is also a Volume, and Tone.. Power switch, On OFF ON and also a standby..... and power pilot light and standby light...Nice will on a break and want to leave the amplifier on....
Overall, The amp is very clean, including the tolex, chrome, decal. some minor wear on corners... some oxidation on chrome...Speakers are all strong....
The Sound... these amps can crank pretty good... These are great for bass guitar but have become the guitar players amplifier... with 70 watts of power.. and all tube tone going through the 12 inch speakers... start to push some air...

I sat with this amplifier for many hours... turned her on and off and standby. All the inputs work, all the pots work, everything seem to be working excellent except the guitar channel... there is plenty of sound, but it seems to static up on guitar channel only......

The low bass tone selector is good to go,, the high bass tone selection is much louder and has tons of meat and low bass frequencies.... amazing for guitar.... I played a Gibson SG outta the amp and its sounded amazing.... These amps are great for effects.... This amp is more on the clean side, but tube clean,,, It does start to break up for sure, just depends on how loud and were the tone selector is....
Also, when its really cranked at full volume,, there is some running noise underneith your guitar. Okay,
These amplifiers are getting hard to find... This amp is clean and really seems to function almost all the way...
and again
only one tone selection (Guitar selection) seems to break up when you hit hard... this could be as simple as a tube. I really don't know....I can also say, this is probably the selection that gives the most overdrive.

The amp has serious power.. I had it shaking my store... and the floor... but might need some minor attention. but will say,, this amp is running, and running strong....Looks amazing and has the capability to be a main amp on a regular basis. with the right pedals and guitar, this is like a Thunderbolt. Jimmy page used one of these amps, Know one really know what he really used, I bet it was this amp... really picks up your low notes... low strings...
Okay, This is a No Return, No Partial refunds and barganing after the sale... Overall, shes in great shape and has power, but it almost 50 years old, so if you need her tweaked by your sound tech, that so be it..... Thanks so much for reading and happy bidding....
also, I found this advertising online.....
The amplifier is 53 lbs.... so , Some international bidders can bid > Make sure the max length and gerth are 60 and 108 Inch total..... otherwise, no shipping.. its to big..
lets say 65.00 US
80.00 West Coast
100.00 Canada
145.00 to 230.00 international..... all prices can vary a bit.. thanks and all the best.

No Reserve
Fast Shipping
Check My Other Auctions
Bis=d with confidence!!!

Vintage Gretsch Valco Super Bass Tube Amp Rare Supro Airline Harmony National is a post from: Vintage Gretsch Guitar

For your consideration is this vintage 1962 Supro Model 1600R "Supreme" electric guitar amplifier. This particular example, serial number T67496, is in very excellent cosmetic condition, and was made to be the companion to the much more common Supro "Reverberation" separate reverb/amp unit with an identically mirrored aesthetic, aside from the smaller control panel situated near the left side of the handle on the top. In fact, this amp is incredibly rare, and for every 100 Reverberation units, only 1 1600R was made. Interestingly enough, this rare amp shares a schematic nearly identical to that of a 1624T, which is widely considered to be one of the best-sounding Supro designs ever made. Whether you're looking for an amazing-sounding Jimmy Page-style Supro amp, or an über rare Valco-made specimen, this is certainly a cool amp to consider, so bid accordingly, because this No Reserve auction with FREE U.S.A. shipping and discounted Worldwide delivery means the highest bidder wins... regardless of price!

WOW ! Here is a Vintage 70's Gretsch 10 Lug Chrome Over Brass COB 5 1/2 " X 14" Snare Drum model # 4165. The drum is in good condition. (some normal use and wear)

This drum is all original with 2 exceptions. The snare strand, and the top hoop. The top hoop on it is steel, the bottom one is cast. There is a 14" 70's Gretsch cast hoop on eBay right now for 49.95

The last model 4165 was an 80's and that one sold here sold for $449.95. Look
Here.

So I am selling this one for 349.95 so you can have some extra $ for the hoop, and still have a deal on a 70's Gretsch 10 lug COB snare.

The second Gretsch badge premiered in 1970. We'll call
it Stop-Sign Badge #1. It features the Gretsch "t-roof" logo above the
eyelet with their famous slogan below and Drums left of the eyelet with
U.S.A. to its right. Baldwin (Gretsch's owner from 1967 through 1984)
scrapped the round badge in favor of this sepia-toned design. For the
first time, all Gretsch drums had their badges affixed in the same
manner. Using 3/8" eyelets universally, it was no longer necessary to
use tacks on toms or oversized grommets for bass drums. Though most
believe SSB#1 to be synonymous with Gretsch's relocation to Booneville
Arkansas, it was actually in use just prior to their move from Brooklyn.
It's also the most common of the three stop-sign designs, as SSB#1 was
in use from 1970 until roughly 1978. The orange/white internal labels
stayed the same, but are even less helpful in drum dating, as sequencing
numbers from this period repeat and vary wildly. Model numbers from
later in this era were handwritten in black, and eventually, green ink.
Sometime before the next label change, the lifetime shell guarantee was
literally blacked-out with a Magic-Marker! Obviously, Baldwin was
looking to avoid liability. As '70s Gretsch hardware and drum finishes
varied often throughout the decade, distinguishing when those changes
occurred is your best chance in determining a Gretsch drum's approximate
year of manufacture.
We are thrilled to be the proud sellers of this OLD GRETSCH PERCUSSION eye candy!!! Bass with clamp on adjustable stands is in good period condition as far as we can see. The Drum is about 24 inches in diameter and about EIGHT INCHES WIDE!!!
Buyers should be aware that they are purchasing a piece of vintage audio / musical equipment. We try the best we can to accurately describe the item and its current operating condition, but make no warrantee of any sort, and the item is sold "AS IS," "NO RETURNS." Any obvious physical damage caused in shipping will be covered by insurance, and it is up to the buyer to file a claim for this. It is always possible for items to sustain shocks that alter their working condition but result in no obvious physical damage or for a part to fail simply due to age, and we disclaim responsibility for this. These caveats aside, in our own experience, vintage musical, audio and related equipment that has been working for 20-50 years is quite robust, and likely to arrive in the same condition as it was in when shipped.

Fed Ex needs complete address and phone number for smooth shipment, if paid early Monday ships Monday ,if not next Monday
