★☆★☆GRETSCH G5191TMS TIM ARMSTRONG ELECTROMATIC HOLLOW BODY MAN SALMON
Up for buy it now or best offer is probably the RAREST Guild Starfire in existence (maybe the rarest vintage Guild in existence!). It is a 100% original 1964 Starfire III in factory WHITE, s/n 28965. Yes you read that correctly factory WHITE!!! This is most likely ONE OF A KIND, custom ordered as you see it. It is in excellent vintage condition. It is also a VERY late open book (Gibson style) headstock, which you never see in the double bound versions! Thankfully it has survived in such nice condition. There are a few very small issues. First an area of buckle rub on the back, which actually reveals that this guitar was going to be stained Emerald Green, imagine that, a factory custom color over a factory custom color! There was a strap button added in the proper spot by the neck on the upper bass bout (It is a mid 60s Fender button, so was most likely done when the guitar was new and properly done with the screw going in to the neck block) There is a very minor seperation of the bass side headstock wing (see pics it does not even reach to the E tuner screw closest to the neck), and the gear on the D tuner was replaced. Other than that this guitar is in EXCELLENT condition, the top is very clean, there is a very slight bit of checking on the sides, and some very minor wear on the neck and some chips in the corners of the headstock. Who really cares as none of it effects the guitar at all. It plays great, the frets are in excellent condition, the Brazilian rosewood fingerboard is perfect, and there are no binding issues at all. Every part of this guitar is original (except the previously mentioned gear and strap button). The finish is 100% factory original. If you collect Guilds, I can almost 100% guarantee this will be your only chance at a vintage White Starfire. It comes in the mid 60s Gretsch Ess & Ess hard case pictured (it has been with this guitar forever). Yes it is not cheap, but consider this, a normal red version, 2K, an Emerald Green 3-4K (there were lots made), this white one ???? (most likely one of a kind!). I am open to FAIR offers, so don't be afraid to ask! Please ask any questions prior to bidding! Shipping will vary depending on your location. Figure about 65.00 close to NY and up to 95.00 to the west coast USPS Priority (with insurance). Shipping will always be combined when possible!
